I've owned three previous e-readers (2 Sonys, and recently a Kobo from Borders - sorry Amazon). i used to be walking through the US military PX in Belgium, saw it for $149, cursed at Borders as a result of i would just bought the Kobo from them, then bought the Next2 (aka Nextbook 2)as well.

This issue isn't a reader that is a pill, however a pill scaled down for reading, that means that it's an Android device, with pill functions: wi-fi, touchscreen, and plenty of of the apps offered to the Android OS.

Comparisons to traditional e-readers:

Battery Life: E-readers last for weeks on a charge. I doubt that the Next2 can last twenty four hours.
Weight: The e-readers do not weigh way more than a paperback novel, many ounces, perhaps a pound. The Next2 weighs three times that.
Screen: Next2's screen is pretty. i have not spent enough time viewing it from completely different light-weight sources to be an honest choose. the actual fact that it's color very should not be a difficulty - outside of periodicals and book covers there is not a lot of would like for color in an e-reader.
